The big difference here is Raid based only on software Owc SoftRaid XT and based on hardware (other brands) and also software that looks to me with lots of apps a more PC style.

Combining RAID 0 with another RAID level for increased data safety. I just installed an OWC 4M2 SSD controller on my 2019 Mac Pro. Software RAID is just that, while overhead is small, hardware RAID performance will be better. Easily activate and deactivate your license to move to a new computer or add additional discounted seats to make sharing your RAID volumes easier. With SoftRAID, these are RAID 1+0, RAID 4, RAID 5, and mirror (RAID 1) volumes (RAID 1 being the slowest, but safest option). I am assuming you mean Hardware RAID with LVM on Top, vs. SoftRAID features an all-new license system making it easier to manage your licenses and provide better security.
